StudyProf features a built-in study schedule, which allows you to create unique and recurrent tasks. These tasks are linked to flashcards files, which can be studied with just a click. StudyProf automatically reminds you of due and overdue tasks.

How can I get a quick overview of my study progress?

Installation & System Requirements

The setup wants me to install the Microsoft® Dot Net Framework, what is this?

StudyProf 2.0 was developed in Microsoft's® Dot Net Framework, which is the underlying application logic necessary to run StudyProf and numerous other software applications. The Dot Net Framework is preinstalled on Windows™ Vista™ but has to be separately downloaded and installed on Windows™ 2000 and XP as well as Media Center Edition. If this has not been done so far, StudyProf downloads and installs the required files automatically. The installation is free of charge and does not harm your computer system.

Do I need an internet connection to run StudyProf?

No. StudyProf runs perfectly without an internet connection. Nonetheless, the program is sold, marketed, and supported exclusively over the internet. This means, you have to download the application files initially for installation. But once the program has been set up on your computer, no internet connection is further required. However, if you do want to stay up to date on what's happening to StudyProf using its news box on the welcome screen, you have to stay connected to the internet. This feature can optionally be switched off. The same holds for downloading files from the Online Archive or updates. Bottom line, if you do have an internet connection (preferable a broadband connection), stay connected to enjoy all of StudyProf's online features.

Does the setup require admin privileges? What can I do if I do not have admin privileges?

Yes, in order to set up StudyProf properly, the installation process requires admin privileges. If you are running Windows™ under a non-admin account, please ask your system administrator to install StudyProf. Alternatively, you can send us an e-mail and request a ClickOnce setup, which allows you to set up StudyProf under non-admin accounts.
